Axcen Photonics Corp. was founded with the capital of USD 6.7 millions in May, 2002 in Taiwan as a professional manufacturer of active components for optical communication systems. The headquarter is located in Taipei county. With the integration of professionals in optics, mechanics and electrical engineering, Axcen Photonics Corp. has finished the development of optical sub-assembly module package, L-I-V characteristics measurement system and optical transceivers. Specification: The AXGE-5852 gigabit interface converters meet the Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) Specification Rev. 5.5. The converters can be inserted or removed from a host chassis without removing power from the host system.

The converters are ideally suited for Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL) and Gigabit Ethernet applications, but can be used for other serial applications where high data rates are required. AXGE-5852 GBIC using a short wavelength (850nm) VCSEL laser enables low cost data transmission up to 500m on 50/125μm optical fibers and 220m on 62.5/125μm optical fibers.
